A parent meeting has been scheduled for parents interested in enrolling their children into the Grade One French Immersion program this upcoming Fall. The sheet attached has more information as well as the parent response form.
Our Welcome to Kindergarten Session is an hour and a half long workshop which gives our newly enrolled Kindergarten students a chance to experience a variety of school-type activities with each of our Kindergarten teachers. Parents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and become orientated with school life at St. James. Please note that this evening is for parents and our new students only, so we ask that alternate arrangements be made for siblings. We encourage our JK families to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to introduce your child to Kindergarten.
Hope to see you and your little one there!
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, in partnership with MLI Homestay, is currently seeking families to host international students ranging from Grades 7-12 for the 2018/2019 school-year. There are opportunities to host students for short-term stays, for once semester or for the whole school-year. MLI Homestay will pay a supplemental fee to compensate you for the costs associated with hosting a student.
Whether you have children at the elementary or high school level it could be a very fulfilling experience for all ages. Hosting an international student is a unique way to share our culture and local communities, while learning about international cultures and customs from these students.
If you are interested in this rewarding opportunity, please contact Cindy LaRocque, Secretary for the International Program at 613-284-2613.

With Spring around the corner (hopefully), St. James is pleased to announce its first annual Clothing Swap Shop. This is a chance to clean out closets and pick up new items at NO cost!
Please complete the attached sign up sheet and indicate what type of clothing you are bringing or looking for. If you are interested in donating clothes, a small fee of $10/table will reserve your spot. Consider splitting a table with a friend to save costs.
Donated clothing that does not find a new home will be distributed to the Salvation Army and C.P. and all funds received from table rentals will be donated to LAWS and the MS Society.
This initiative is also supporting the #Gooddeeedscup Challenge
We are encouraging all of our staff and students to show their support for the Peewee Smiths Falls Bears and to accept the #gooddeedschallage
On Friday, February 16, we will be wearing black & yellow and are asking everyone in our school to bring at least one non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army food cupboard. We also have three #gooddeeds surprises coming up for different members in our community! Pictures posted on our facebook page!
